Rosie Leverton – Jazz

Rosie is a Melbourne based dancer, choreographer and teacher originally from country Victoria. She began her dance training in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary with Rachelle Kellett, and completed her R.A.D. Advanced 1 ballet examination in 2013.

In 2016 Rosie completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). During her degree Rosie travelled to Paris and participated in workshops with Lia Rodrigues at the Centre National de la Danse (CND). In 2016 Rosie co-choreographed and performed durational work Artefact #2 as a part of the “Rooms with a View” exhibition curated by Emma Collard presented at The Newport Substation. Also at The Newport Substation, Rosie performed in 2016 with collaborative dance group Deep Lunge for a multi-disciplinary event devised by Plastic Loaves.

Rosie has connected with artists including Dr Sandra Parker, Anna Smith, Rebecca Hilton, Feng Feng Wang, Brooke Stamp, Jo Lloyd, Stephanie Lake, Judith Walton, Siobhan McKenna, Prue Lang and Dr Tracie Mitchell.
