When? Saturday 13 December, arrive from 5pm for dancing at 5:30pm
Where? Castlemaine Botanic Gardens
What? Bring a picnic, your friends, your dancing feet and a perhaps a lantern!

The whole community is invited to discover the magic of the End of the Year Picnic and Lantern Walk! This much-loved local event evolved from a conversation between studio founder, dear Edna Reinhardt and her musician husband, the wonderful Saul, about creating a common dance language for the community, and it has been a Castlemaine tradition since 1990!

Absolutely everyone is welcome! The event features international folk circle dances accompanied by a live band, followed by a lantern walk. It is an opportunity for the community to enjoy diverse, multicultural folk music, promoting connection to our wider global context.
