Join Kath Coff, Thaïs Sansom, Belinda Prest, and Edna Reinhardt for an inspiring professional development day designed for teachers, studio owners, and educators working with primary-aged children. Experience a day of hands-on learning, practical resources, and shared reflection designed to deepen connection and spark new ideas for the year ahead.

Program Overview
1. Acknowledgment of Country, teachings and discussion - Kath
Yorta Yorta woman and CEO of Nalderun Education Aboriginal Corporation, Kath Coff, will open the day with an Acknowledgment of Country, and teachings and discussion that will lead into a dance session with Thaïs Sansom.
2. Movement-Based Indigenous Perspectives – Thaïs
With permission and encouragement from Local Elders, experience Thaïs’ approach to teaching a movement-based Acknowledgment of Country, and be inspired to create your own embodied version with students, weaving Indigenous perspectives into creative movement.

3. Unlocking Creativity in Kids’ Yoga – Edna
Discover how to design yoga sequences that move beyond repetition to spark imagination and agency in children. Experience creative approaches to sequencing that invite curiosity, collaboration, and flow.

4. Circle Dances from Around the World – Belinda
Learn three joyful circle dances from different cultures, ideal for classrooms and community groups.

5. The Art of Creative Dance – Edna
Discover a simple recipe for teaching creative movement that weaves together music, dance principles, and purposeful use of props.
Between Sessions:
Short Q&A and discussion time with each facilitator.
Wrap-Up Session:
Facilitators share insights on applying these practices in educational settings and discuss the benefits they’ve seen in children’s engagement and well-being.

Cost and Inclusions
